Al Baghli submits proposal to name street after Saleh Al-Ojairi

Member of the Municipal Council, Engineer Maha Al-Baghli, has submitted a proposal to name a street after the late astronomer, Saleh Muhammad Al-Ojairi, in honor of his memory for the service rendered to the nation.

Al-Rai quoting the Council member while submitting her proposal said Kuwait lost one of the most prominent and brilliant astronomers and mathematicians in Kuwait and the region Dr. Saleh Al-Ojairi who passed away at the age of 101.

She pointed out that Dr. Saleh Al-Ojairi was born in Kuwait City, in a tribal district in 1920, and is the author of the famous Al-Ojairi calendar, which is distinguished for accuracy in its calculations, which the State of Kuwait officially adopted for all its official transactions.

She emphasized that with the death of the late, Saleh Al-Ojairi, Kuwait has lost a lofty scientific stature and one of the nation’s loyal men. His achievements will remain firmly rooted in our conscience and will keep him in our midst as a role model in science and giving.
