The Chairman of the Market and Purchasing Committee of the Adailiya Cooperative Society Saud Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri announced the association’s signing of an agreement with Talabat General Trading and Contracting Company, the business specializing in ordering and delivering of goods and foods through an online app, an Arab daily reported. By applying the Talabat system in the markets and branches of the association, the app receives and transfers requests from the association’s customers through the electronic payment gateway and implements requests on behalf of customers, as well as quickly delivers orders. The system has started implementing the central market and the branch of Al-Adailiya Sweets and Pastries Bakery. Work is also underway to implement it in the family supplies branch.
Al-Tuwaijri explained the significance of carrying out the system and its effective contribution to raising the association’s total sales, as it currently earns the average daily sales of KD 1,757 through the app, and average monthly sales of KD 54,469. He was quoted saying that the co-op is seeking to achieve annual sales through the app with an amount of KD 653,628 dinars this year.
He continued that the Board of Directors seeks to provide the best apps to improve the level of services provided by the Adailiya Cooperative Society to shareholders and pioneers in the central market and to reach the highest segment of customers outside the region, as well as for the Adailiya Cooperative Society to be one of the first associations keen to provide and implement the latest electronic commercial applications.
