Air customs seizes 660 Lyrica capsules and a bag of Shabu

Customs men at the Air Customs Department were able to seize a variety of drugs including Lyrica and shabu, through 3 different seizures, where the suspects employed varied smuggling methods, quality and routes.

Khaled Al-Houti, the inspector of air freight inspection and warehousing, revealed that the customs men were able, through two seizures, to seize 660 “Lyrica” capsules coming from an Asian country, and it was mentioned in the bills of lading that they were personal items.

In the third seizure, a small bag containing the narcotic substance was found hidden inside a package of papers. The seizures have been referred to the competent authorities.
