Adasat – Ensuring your sight is flawless

Adasat App is a premier online platform, and the first app in the Middle East, that caters to all your eyecare needs, including prescription and colored contact lenses and eyecare products from leading global brands.

General Manager Dr. Omar Qadan, eyecare professional and contact lens consultant, spoke to The Times Kuwait in an exclusive interview regarding the apps’ rise to popularity, the many special offers and the company’s vibrant customer base.

He began by highlighting the wealth of experience in the contact lens industry that the company’s founders bring to the business. With over 25 years of experience in the optics industry the founders came together to form the company in 2017, with the aim of providing an online app for buying colored and transparent medical lenses in one place, as well as quality eyecare products and cosmetics, said Dr. Qadan.

Outlining the distinctive aspects of the company, Dr. Qadan continued, “What distinguishes us from others is that we now have more than 46 lens brands and more than 500 lens colors in addition to eyecare and eye make-up products.”

Elaborating on the company’s policy of providing customers with attractive special offers, he noted, “When we receive any special offers from our suppliers, we pass it on to the customer as we want to pass on the maximum benefits to our customer.
Revealing the various prestigious global brands that they are the authorized resellers of, Dr. Qadan explained that deals had been signed with several large companies and distributors of contact lenses to retail their stock on the Adasat app so as to offer multiple options to customers.

The app is marketed via social media platforms to share with customers the latest brands, amazing offers and beauty advice from the app. They have active social media handles, and regularly collaborate with popular beauty influencers to help market their products.

Clarifying the quality and safety of products sold on the app, Dr. Qadan stressed that all their products are perfectly safe as the app is licensed by the Ministry of Health in Kuwait and the products have FDA, CE and ISO certifications. Customers are recommended medical lenses based on tests, as well as taking into consideration their lifestyle and work nature.

About the brands featured in their catalog, Dr. Qadan said, “We are very particular when it comes to choosing brands to include on our app. We subject each product to a very vigorous in-house testing process and provide feedback to the product manufacturers so that the products we feature meet the needs and wants of our customers.”

Aside from its diverse and wide-ranging collection of lenses, Adasat also prides itself on its speedy delivery to make sure customers get their products swiftly. “We are distinct from other services in the speed of our product delivery, as the company has more than 12 drivers and cars available, under a plan to cover all areas of Kuwait on the same day.”

Adasat also has a strong customer service department, Dr. Qadan remarked, “There is diligent follow-up from the customer service department with employees checking up on each order to confirm that the customer has received the product at the specified time and is satisfied with the product and service.” He added, “The department also handles complaints related to staff behavior with customers, and is committed to solving all problems to the customers’ satisfaction regardless of the complaint.”

Speaking on how the recent coronavirus pandemic affected business, Dr. Qadan said, “As for the Covid-19 pandemic, it had a positive impact on our business. Due to the lockdown, people were increasingly making their purchases online, since most optical stores remained closed during this period. Our app was especially popular among people seeking replacement contact lenses or new ones.”

With respect to staying current and on trend, Dr. Qadan mentioned that they have strong business contacts, and constantly receive feedback from customers and the market, in order to always stock the best and most-in-trend products to meet their customers’ needs.

Concluding the interview, Dr. Qadan said, “We hope to carve a bright future for our business by increasing the benefits of the app to customers through the addition of sections that specifically target the Kuwaiti community, and we will announce these features in the near future.”
