964 new coronavirus infections, 5 deaths

Ministry of Health announced today, Tuesday, that 810 coronavirus cases have been cured in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people recovering in the country to 1,67,601. The ministry’s spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said during The 106th periodic press conference confirmed that these cases are similar to recovery after conducting the necessary medical examinations and the steps followed in this regard, pointing out that the percentage of total cures out of the total infections amounted to 93.4 percent.

He indicated that 964 new Coronavirus cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 179,488 and recording five deaths, bringing the total deaths to 1014. He said that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 141 cases, bringing the total number confirmed to have the infection and are still receiving the necessary medical care to 10,873 cases.

Al-Sanad added the number of swabs conducted in the past 24 hours is 10,328, bringing the total to 1687,183 tests, pointing out that the percentage of infections to the number of swabs during the past 24 hours was 9.3 percent.

Al-Sanad renewed its call on citizens and residents to continue adopting all preventive measures, avoid contact with others, and ensure the implementation of the physical distancing strategy. He recommended everyone visit the official accounts of the Ministry of Health and the official authorities in the country to view the instructions and recommendations and everything that would contribute to containing the spread of the virus.
