The percentage of Kuwaitis working in the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy revealed has reached 94 percent until last May or 6,056 employees of the total number of 6,438 employees.
The sources pointed out that the sector is one of the largest and most important sectors, as it is the backbone of the ministry and is the source of electric power production and water distillation, reports a local Arabic daily.
The steady increase in population, and the expansion of the establishment of new residential cities, there is a keenness to seek the assistance of national cadres and competencies within this sector, and to refine their expertise through specialized training courses.
The sources added among the workers in the sector are 782 Kuwaiti women, or about 13%, and 5,274 Kuwaitis are technical specialists.
