85,000 travel to India during last 3 months, while 45,000 return

Data issued by the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation revealed 5 countries — Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and India with 878,000 passengers traveling to and from out of 1.4 million passengers over the last 3 months — account for 63% of the total passengers crisscrossing the Kuwait International Airport (KIA).

According to statistics prepared by Al-Anba based on official figures about the highest passenger movement from the Kuwait International Airport between August 2021 until the end of last October, 33 countries used the airport and saw the movement of 1.4 million passengers.

Turkey ranked as the first travel destination for citizens and residents from Kuwait with 314,650 people travelling to that country over the past three months — about 130,000 departing from Kuwait and about 185,000 coming from Turkey; the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came in second place with 150,140 thousand passengers — 82 thousand passengers traveling to the Kingdom and 68 inbound passengers; Egypt ranked third with 144,000 passengers — 75,000 inbound passengers and 69,000 outbound; the United Arab Emirates fourth with 138,700 thousand passengers — 53 thousand inbound and 85.6 thousand passengers outbound and lastly India with 130,300 thousand passengers – 45,000 inbound and 85,000 outbound
