79 residency and work law violators, prostitution network nabbed

The Ministry of Interior security forces apprehended 79 residency and work law violators, as well as those working contrary to public morals, through the criminal security and residency affairs sectors search campaigns and raids. According to a local daily, the criminal security sector investigators, namely the General Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Protection of Public Morals and Combating Trafficking in Persons, arrested a network of 12 persons promoting acts against public morals in exchange for money in Ahmadi.

Moreover, the intensive security follow-up, in addition to detecting pornographic websites, exposed a prostitution network in Mahboula, and also identified a person who runs the network in one of the buildings. During the raid, at least three men and nine women were arrested, and many surveillance cameras and smart devices used to manage the network were found through communication programs. The detectives referred all suspects to the competent authority for them to face necessary legal actions.

On the other hand, the intensive security campaigns of the General Administration of Residence Affairs Investigations, in cooperation with concerned authorities, resulted in the arrest of 58 residency and work law violators in the Abdali region, and 58 violations pertaining to absence of work permit were issued by the Public Authority for Manpower, as well as the closure of illegal shops by the Kuwait Municipality.

The campaign also resulted in the arrest of four people violating the residency and work law in the Sabah Al-Ahmad and Seville, as well as the seizure of a fake servant office in Jahra, which was run by five people in violation of the residency and work law. Investigators referred all violators to competent authorities.
