741 camps removed over license violations, environmental damages

The Kuwait Municipality removed 741 violating camps that were set up outside the sites specified by the municipality for the 2022/2023 spring season. According to a local news agency, the municipality stated that the Public Cleanliness and Road Occupation Department in the Jahra and Al-Ahmadi governorates also alerted 261 violating camps in preparation for their removal.

The municipality stressed that campers should adhere to camping site conditions and regulations for the 2022/2023 spring season, especially pertaining to the licensing of camps, as well as the prohibited building of dirt mounds, and paving or bulldozing of soil in order to capture wildlife.
