719 new coronavirus cases in Kuwait, 3 deaths

The coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 719 people in Kuwait in the past 24 hours, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad announced on Tuesday. Dr. Al-Sanad declared, in a statement to KUNA, the infection cases have totaled 100,683 since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country months ago. Three of the patients died, bringing the death toll to 588, Dr. Al-Sanad said.

The infections as recorded in the health zones were as follows: 187 in Hawally, 162 in Al-Ahmadi, 151 in Farwaniya, 120 in the capital and 108 in Al-Jahraa. There are currently 99 patients receiving medical care at intensive care wards, with the overall number of confirmed infected cases that continue to receive medical care standing at 8,483. He added that up to 4,651 swab tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, raising the tally of such tests to 715,887.

Dr. Al-Sanad renewed the call upon citizens and expatriates to take all necessary precautions against the pandemic; abstain from mingling and observe social distancing. The MoH declared earlier today that 682 of the coronavirus patients recovered during the past 24 hours, putting the whole count of the recuperated at 91,612.
