7026 vehicles crisscross Abdali in two weeks during Gulf Cup tournament

The director of the Abdali Customs border post, Saad Al-Mutairi, said the customs men exerted great efforts to facilitate entry procedures to Iraq, to attend the Gulf Football Championship matches (Gulf 25) in Basra.

Al-Mutairi in a statement to Al-Rai, said 7026 vehicles left Kuwait between January 1 and January 15, 2023, while the number of vehicles coming during the same period reached 6295, pointing out that the vehicles carried Kuwaiti and Gulf plates.

In a related context, the head of the Iraqi Border Crossings Authority, Major General Omar Al-Waeli, announced more than 55,000 visitors from the Arab Gulf countries entered Iraq since the launch of the “Gulf 25” tournament until yesterday, through the ports of (Basra) International Airport and Safwan Border (opposite to the Kuwaiti Abdali port).
