70% found not complying with health protocols

The health requirements team from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry organized a wide-scale inspection tour of the Commercial Market in downtown Kuwait City targeting the fabric market and tailor shops to ensure and check to what extent the employees in the market abide by health protocols and cabinet instructions related to the Covid-19 epidemic.

On the sidelines of the tour, the team leader and director of the technical department for supervising commodities, Faisal Al-Ansari, told Al-Qabas the judicial police inspectors found 70% of the employees in the Commercial Block market shops did not comply with the requirements.

The police have issued warnings and made the shop owners sign pledges of respect to government instructions and promises to adhere to wearing masks and respect social distancing.
