The total number of complaints registered in the department in December reached 6,782 complaints were about domestic workers, according to official figures issued by the Department for Regulating the Recruitment of Domestic Workers in the Public Authority for Manpower, Al Rai daily reported.
According to the figures, the number of complaints resolved amicably between the two parties was 185 complaints, while the number of complaints referred to the judiciary, including claims of workers absconding, was 186.
The total number of actual registered domestic labor recruitment offices is 464, while the number of workers registered in domestic labor recruitment offices is 1533 workers. Meanwhile, the total number of applications for licenses for operating domestic workers’ offices is 933, while the number of licenses that have been renewed and issued is 23 licenses.
