600 domestic workers allowed to come back every day

The Council of Ministers has given green light for the return of domestic workers, the first return trips will begin on December 7. Around 80 thousand workers have valid residency stranded abroad,  600 Domestic workers would be allowed to return daily.

The cost of institutional quarantine is 270 dinars, without a ticket.

Civil Aviation Spokesman Saad Al-Otaibi revealed to Al-Rai that the General Administration of Civil Aviation has completed all its preparations to receive domestic workers by applying all health requirements, after a break of about 10 months due to the Corona pandemic.

He explained that the administration will launch an electronic platform to register the requests of sponsors wishing to return their domestic workers to the country, and the daily number of returnees was set at only 600, indicating that the estimated number of domestic workers outside the country who have valid residency is about 80 thousand.

The Cabinet instructed the General Investment Authority to take the necessary measures towards enabling the Ministry of Health to use the exhibition halls during the outbreak of Corona for free, and the Ministry of Finance to continue to bear the costs and services of health quarantines and the necessary meals for the staff, patients and quarantined, as it deems appropriate, in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
