Dr. Ayman Al-Mutawa, the head of the National Hospitals Union, has declared that six private hospitals stand ready to provide free medical care to people who are injured in the Gaza Strip following the onslaught of the Israeli war machinery.
In a letter addressed to the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, Al-Mutawa cited the challenging humanitarian circumstances facing our brethren in the Gaza Strip and Kuwait’s prominent humanitarian role on both regional and international fronts, reflecting the directives of the High Commission for Aid and Relief for the Afflicted Palestinian People in the Gaza Strip, reports Al-Rai daily.
He emphasized the preparedness of Al-Salam, Alia, Dar Al-Shifa, Wara, Al-Mowasat, and Taiba hospitals to treat the injured Gaza Strip residents for treatment at no cost should the Ministry of Health opt to transfer cases to Kuwait.
Al-Mutawa underscored that such an initiative represents the minimum assistance they can extend to their brethren.
In a related development, the Kuwaiti relief air bridge remains active, with the 13th flight departing on Sunday, heading to the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, carrying 40 tons of food and medical supplies, aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Gaza Strip’s inhabitants. Additionally, Ahmed Abu Dayyeh, the head of Palestinian volunteer teams in Gaza affiliated with the Kuwaiti Red Crescent, announced the arrival of the third and fourth consignments from the Red Crescent Society’s aid air bridge to the stores and warehouses of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
