The Ministry of Finance will enhance the budget of the Kuwait Municipality by 6 million dinars to help rebuild the Mubarakiya Market which was destroyed by the fire.
The Finance Ministry in a letter to the Minister of Municipality Dr. Rana Al-Faris, said the work team in its second meeting held on April 25, 2022, assigned the municipality to reconstruct the burned part of the Mubarakiya market, as stated in the initial study of the Technical Office.
The sources added the decision to urgently rebuild the burned part of the Mubarakiya Market comes due to the importance of the market as a historical and tourist landmark of the State of Kuwait.
The sources revealed the Ministry of Finance has allocated a special budget for this purpose, amounting to approximately 6 million Kuwaiti dinars to strengthen the Kuwait Municipality’s budget in this regard.
