As the holy month of Ramadan is just around the corner, 17 charitable societies have obtained licenses from the Ministry of Social Affairs to start collecting donations, and 6 government teams have formed to monitor the collection of Ramadan donations.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has defined a mechanism for collecting donations through charitable organizations’ websites, through automated donation devices located at the headquarters of the associations, through mosque campaigns on the condition that K-Net is used as cash donation is not allowed.

The charitable societies plan to carry out their work in Ramadan. The work includes the distribution of food baskets for individuals and families, in addition to providing ready meals for breaking the fast. The society also plans to carat out the donation program for all 21 Arab, Asian, and African countries target groups.

The associations set goals for their campaigns to collect about KD 1.5 million to provide meals for breaking the fast and for the distribution of food baskets.

Until yesterday, the associations managed to collect KD 270,000 and began distributing food baskets to needy and needy families in different regions.
