6.3-magnitude earthquake strikes near Hirara, Japan

The US Geological Survey reported a significant earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 striking an area located 180 kilometers north of Hirara, Japan. The seismic event occurred at precisely 1321 GMT, sending ripples of concern across the region, reported Al-Rai Daily.

The earthquake’s epicenter was initially pinpointed at a depth of 183.5 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface. It was located at a latitude of 26.43 degrees north and a longitude of 125.30 degrees east.
