567 new coronavirus cases in Kuwait, 4 deaths

The coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 567 people in Kuwait in the past 24 hours, raising the infection cases to 107,025  since the outbreak of the pandemic. Four patients died, bringing the death toll to 624.

Speaking to KUNA, MoH’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that the confirmed cases included patients who contracted the virus due to contact with infected people while others remained under examination to determine the source. The cases were distributed in the following areas: 193 from Al-Ahmadi, 86 in Al-Farwaniyah, 54 in Al-Jahra, 124 in Hawalli and 110 in Al-Asimah (the capital).

Additionally, active cases amounted to 7,361, with 142 of them in intensive care units, Al-Sanad elaborated. Health authorities conducted 2,050 swab tests over the past 24 hours with a total of 757,815, he revealed. Dr. Al-Sanad urged everyone in Kuwait to adhere to precautionary measures against the virus. Earlier today, the ministry confirmed 605 fresh recovery cases, raising the total to 99,040 cured people so far.
