The Ministry of Health announced 559 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 59,763, while no deaths was reported.
Ministry Spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that out of 559 cases included 337 cases of Kuwaiti citizens, at a rate of 60.29 percent and 222 cases for expats, of 39.71 percent. With regard to the breakdown of infections according to the areas, he explained that there were discovered 164 in Jahra, 144 in Al Farwaniyah, 130 in Al Ahmadi, 76 in Hawali and 45 in capital.
On the latest developments in the intensive care department, he pointed out that the number of those receiving medical care was 138 cases, bringing the total of all cases to 9016. And about institutional quarantine centers, he said that the total of those who ended the period of mandatory institutional quarantine in the past 24 hours amounted to 43. The number of scans that have been done in the past 24 hours was 3,355 swabs to raise the total tests to 462,704.
