40 e-services to be launched 12 January to streamline services

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) is preparing to launch a streamlined service system, which will save time and effort in completing transactions as once introduced, visitors will not have to visit the labor departments, with the exception of some necessary transactions or problems in the automated system.

The new system, which will be launched on January 12, will provide 40 labor services for nationals and expats workers.

Official sources told the daily that the new “easiest” system will allow for “amendment, renewal, registration and cancellation of work permits” for national workers, in addition to “canceling, issuing and renewing work permits” for expats.

The sources added that the new service will stop any dealings with manual data entry, in addition to providing services to download the salary file, enter permits of various kinds, and obtain an estimate of all kinds of needs online.

The service will allow for entering a contract, a work site, amending and canceling contracts, submitting a labor statement request, submitting absentee reports with permission or no permission, opening new files, submitting complaints from employees, and recording a quarterly statistic for labor inspection.

The portal will also provide inquiries about bank transfers, basic data for the license and file, enter employee permits, labor complaints, employment disclosure, salary shortfalls, absenteeism reports, status details and particulars on occupations.

A list of national and expatriate workers will be outlined on the site, as well as have sections for inquiries of salary file transactions, inspection file inventory, labor complaints, and uploading of information regarding the administration to which the worker belongs.
