There is no intention to grant an amnesty to the 150,000 residency violators revealed a reliable source to Arabic daily Al Rai.
The source revealed that with the opening of the airport and life returning back to normal there is no intention to grant residence violators an opportunity to regularise their status and on the contrary there is a plan to address the issue by preparing for their arrest and deportation.
Al Rai reported that about 390,000 people lost their residency permits while they were outside the country, as a result of their inability to return and due to the closure of airports
