380,000 visitors, including students, flock to Kuwait Book Fair over 10 days

The 45th session of the Kuwait International Book Fair came to an end which was held after a hiatus of two years because of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, but that absence was a catalyst for the public to flock to the fair, over the past 10 days.

In this regard, a local Arabic daily quoting the Deputy Director of the exhibition Khalifa Al-Rabah said 380,000 people visited the various pavilions of the exhibition, including 32,400 students from 613 schools in the country.

The exhibition — which is considered one of the oldest book fairs in the region — contributed to a state of cultural movement, in light of the intensive lectures and seminars that were held over the past days, as well as the wide participation of Kuwaiti, Gulf and Arab intellectuals in this exceptional event.
