The Ministry of Health said about 330,000 people who received the first dose of the AstraZeneca /Oxford Vaccine are awaiting the arrival of the rest of the test results for the current shipment in Kuwait, Al Jarida reported.

The results of the tests for this shipment were supposed to arrive by May 31, but the vaccine manufacturer sent an official letter to the Ministry of Health last week stating that the rest of the test results for the current shipment in Kuwait were postponed to June 8.

As soon as the rest of the results of the required examinations arrive in a manner that guarantees the health and safety of the recipients of the vaccine, the targeted segment will be vaccinated with the second dose.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health reassured, in a statement last week, that there are no negative effects as a result of postponing the second dose of the Oxford vaccine, and confirmed that in its keenness to stay up to date on the latest developments.
