The coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 330 people in Kuwait in the past 24 hours, raising the infection cases to 141,547, since the outbreak of the pandemic. 1 patient died, bringing the death toll to 872.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 5,925, with 80 of them in intensive care units, said ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that some 7,458 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,075,651 so far. The ministry had earlier reported that some 717 more people had recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 134,750.
The spokesman went on to urge citizens and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
