Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Mazen Al-Nahedh revealed that the percentage of completion achieved in the Al-Shaddadiya Industrial Zone project is approximately 32 percent, stressing the keenness of all concerned agencies to complete the project on time.
Al-Nahedh was speaking during a tour he conducted in the Shaddadiya region that the project aims to achieve all the requirements of economic and industrial growth by providing the basis for developing an advanced industrial zone and providing it with the latest technologies, reports Al-Rai daily.
The minister pointed out that the Shaddadiya project consists of 3 main sectors — chemical, food and mixed sectors, all of which include about 1036 industrial plots.
Al-Nahedh indicated that the project will be managed using sustainable development methods during the contract period, while access to the area will be easy, whether through the current or future road network.
The minister affirmed that industrial development has become one of the targets of non-oil growth for Kuwait, as the trend is to strengthen and support this sector within the objectives of the 2035 development plan, ensuring that the industrial sector is one of the main non-oil resources of the state.
