312 new COVID-19 infections, no deaths

The Ministry of Health (MoH) declared on Tuesday recording 312 new infection cases with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) during the past 24 raising the caseload to 152,027. No new deaths were recorded during the same period of time, thus the fatalities’ toll remained at 938 since local outbreak of the pandemic months ago.

The MoH official spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said in a statement to KUNA number of patients who continued to receive medical care at intensive care units reached 55, adding that count of the confirmed infection cases, also under medical treatment, amounted to 3,305. Dr. Al-Sanad said number of swab tests, conducted during the past 24 hours, amounted to 5,180 with the overall count of such examinations hitting 1.277,197.

He called anew upon the nationals and residents of the country to abide by precautionary measures, abstain from being close to others and examine the state websites to be aware of directions and recommendations regarding the contagion and safety precautions. The MoH declared earlier today registering 273 recovery cases during the past 24, putting the whole number of the recuperated patients at 147,784.
