The coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 304 people in Kuwait in the past 24 hours, raising the infection cases to 145,204, since the outbreak of the pandemic. 5 patients died, bringing the death toll to 905.
The number of people hospitalised with the virus currently stands at 3,310, with 79 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, who revealed that some 6,656 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,158,859.
The ministry had earlier reported that some 351 more people had been cured from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 140,989.
He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
