30 private sector companies train 260 students for future jobs

Assigned Director of the Public Authority for Manpower, Eman Al-Ansari said that the private sector is keen on qualifying and training Kuwaiti students to prepare them for future jobs, believing in the capabilities of the youth.

Al-Ansari said, in a statement during a ceremony honoring private sector representatives participating in student training during summer, that the opportunity is an educational experience for participants to explore work requirements in the private sector, in addition to gaining field experience and developing work skills. The official explained that the training lasted for a month, with the participation of 260 students and in cooperation with 30 companies. A plan to offer a similar training program in the spring is also planned.

Al-Ansari revealed the authority’s intention to add the medical and industrial sectors because of their future importance to job seekers, noting the continuation of providing training programs in the banking sector and other sectors. The student training project began in 2004 and has trained approximately 12,000 students from the three target groups, the secondary level, specifically for the eleventh and twelfth grades, in addition to the second year for diploma students and the third and fourth year for university students.
