An inspection campaign carried out by the General Traffic Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, on car workshops in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Wednesday, resulted in issuing 28 citations for various kinds of offences.
The inspectors also arrested three people violating the residency law. The commerce minister inspectors got a pledge signed by owners of seven violating workshops not to repeat the offence.
The administration stated that the campaign, which was led by Assistant Director General of Traffic for Technical Affairs Muhammad Al-Adwani, recorded violations that varied between installing exhaust devices that cause annoying sounds and making fundamental changes to the vehicle without permission.
