3-hour traffic campaign nabs 600 violators in Ardhiya

The Ardhiya Industrial City was the target Saturday evening by traffic police. The Ministry of Interior tightened grip on the area and cordoned off all entrances and exits to arrest violators, reckless motorists and people wanted by law and outlaws.

The campaign, which was implemented by the Department of Coordination, Follow-up and Education in the Traffic and Operations Sector at the Ministry, resulted in issuing 600 citations in 3 hours and a ‘block’ was placed of 550 violating vehicles.

In an exclusive statement to a local Arabic daily Assistant Director-General of the Department of Coordination, Follow-up and Education commissioned by the Traffic Sector Brigadier Khaled Mahmoud confirmed 600 violations were recorded in 3 hours, explaining that 10 violators of the residence law were arrested and 6 juveniles were seized for driving without a license, in addition to citations to about 70 home delivery bike riders for not wearing helmet and not holding a driving license.
