The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 24 people of different nationalities in 16 cases, in possession of about 16 kilograms of various narcotic substances and 10,000 psychotropic pills.
The General Department of Security Relations and Media said in a press release that these seizures come as a continuation of the efforts of the men of the criminal security sector to implement the law, intensify the security presence, and arrest outlaws, promoters and dealers in these poisons, to protect everyone, reports Al-Rai daily.
The department added 80 bottles of imported alcohol, and 3 unlicensed weapons and ammunition were found, along with sums of money resulting from the sale were found with the suspects.
The source explained that the suspects have admitted that the seized items belonged to them for the purpose of trafficking and abuse, and they and the seized items were referred to the competent authority to take all necessary legal measures regarding them.
