The surgery department of the Jahra Hospital announced 15 major laparoscopic operations were performed by the surgical team headed by Dr. Muhammad Al Jasmi with participation of the visiting doctor from the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Ahmed Shoukry, who is specialist in endoscopy, oncology and obesity surgeries.
Al Jasmi said in a press statement some of these operations were performed outside Kuwait, which put physical and mental pressure on the patients and their families to due travel and surgery costs.
He explained conducting such surgeries in the presence of visiting doctors with international experience and the presence of patients’ families gives patients psychological comfort, as well as positive effects through mutual cooperation and gaining experiences and reducing the suffering of travel and saves expenses for the country.
