120,000 narcotic pills seized from citizen

The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Directorate-General of Drugs Control said the personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department in coordination with the crime branch of the United Arab Emirates have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti for trafficking in drugs.

Al-Rai said the Kuwaiti side received a tip off from its Emirati counterpart about the activity of the suspect and after getting a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution the CID men set a trap for the suspect and caught him red-handed selling Captagon pills to a police agent.

Following the arrest the CID men raided his ‘hideout’ and seized 120,000 pills of psychotropic substances. During interrogation he has admitted to the charges filed against him.
