10th e-Government Forum to keep pace with the transition to digital transformation

The tenth edition of the “E-Government Forum” and the accompanying technology exhibition kicks off this evening, under the patronage and participation of the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Affairs Fahd Al-Shoula, in cooperation with the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority, with the aim of keeping pace with the transition to digital transformation and engaging in a world governed by advanced technologies.

The CITRA Acting Director General Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini, said in a statement to Al-Rai daily, “We look forward to the forum contributing to supporting our plans at CITRA regarding the path of digital transformation, and this stage represents the transition to adopting cloud computing in information centers to form the infrastructure.

“It is necessary to connect all government information centers with homogeneous and effective computer equipment that supports our digital transformation plans,” he said.

He added that an expert at the authority will provide a comprehensive explanation of the its strategy regarding cloud computing in the State of Kuwait.

The President of the Union of Engineering Offices and Consulting Houses, Badr Al-Salman, expressed hope that the forum will achieve its goals, especially that it would keep pace with the plans of the agency and other government agencies to move to cloud computing and activate digital transformation plans in the country.

The forum, which is organized by Razen Company for Managing and Organizing Exhibitions and Conferences, and the Federation of Kuwaiti Engineering Offices and Consulting Houses, in Al Baraka Hall in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, and continues until tomorrow, aims to keep pace with the efforts of Kuwait and CITRA in their strategic direction towards adopting cloud computing, to develop the information infrastructure to support e-government programs, and engaging in a world governed by advanced technologies. The forum also provides an ideal opportunity to discuss all challenges and develop available solutions to contribute to the path of transformation towards cloud computing.
