Met predicts extremely hot weather during coming days, hot to warm at night
Active northwesterly winds that may intensify at intervals, stirring up dust storms and significantly reducing horizontal visibility

The Meteorological Department has forecast a noticeable rise in temperatures across Kuwait in the coming days, warning that the weather will be extremely hot during the daytime and remain hot to warm at night.
The department also noted the presence of active northwesterly winds that may intensify at intervals, stirring up dust storms and significantly reducing horizontal visibility, particularly in open and desert areas.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Acting Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, explained that these weather conditions are a result of the country being impacted by the seasonal Indian low-pressure system. This system pushes hot air masses into the region, leading to a marked rise in temperatures.
According to Al-Ali, monitoring stations recorded a minimum temperature of 33°C on Tuesday morning, while maximum temperatures ranged between 48°C and 51°C in most inland areas—a level considered dangerous for prolonged outdoor exposure.
He added that temperature levels are expected to remain high in the coming days, accompanied by wave heights exceeding six feet, especially along coastal areas.
Al-Ali urged the public to take necessary precautions during this period of intense heat and dust.
He emphasized the importance of staying informed through the department’s official website, mobile application, and social media platforms to receive the latest weather updates and safety advisories.
