MCI says market, food security stable amid regional developments

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said today the emergency plans have been activated and all precautionary measures related to food security are being implemented, to assure the market activity across the country remains normal.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Ministry confirmed that the nation’s strategic food reserves are “very reassuring,” and that consumers can access their needs with ease.

The Ministry has emphasized the importance of relying on official sources for information, urging citizens and residents to avoid spreading rumors or false reports, warning that legal action will be taken against those who publish or circulate misleading or malicious news.

The MCI said it is committed to closely monitoring local markets and strategic food supplies in response to ongoing regional developments.

The Ministry reassured the public that basic food commodities remain widely available in stores, retail outlets, and warehouses across the country.
