Kuwaiti oil and gas exports to Egypt worth $985 million in first 10 months of 2025

Data released by the Egyptian Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed Egypt imported oil and gas from Kuwait worth approximately $985 million during the first 10 months of 2025.

During the same period, Egyptian exports to Kuwait totaled around $265 million, with clothing ranking first at $24 million, followed by electrical cables at $22 million, electrical conductors at $12 million, food products containing cocoa at $13 million, and potatoes at $9.2 million.

Former Vice President of the Egyptian General Petroleum Authority, Engineer Medhat Youssef, said in a Facebook post that Egypt’s agreement with Kuwait for crude oil supply is among the most favorable contracts the country has concluded, citing a nine-month grace period for payment as a key advantage, reports Al-Rai daily.

He noted that payments are settled through documentary credits backed by international banks, covering the full value of each shipment from Kuwait to Egypt.

Youssef, who said he was among the signatories of the agreement during his tenure, added that the deal reflects the strong and friendly relations between Egypt and Kuwait.
