Kuwait Customs eyes faster, safer passenger and cargo movement at T4

Al-Omar leads T4 inspection push to elevate airport operations and security

Saleh Al-Omar, Deputy Head of the General Administration of Customs for Ports, Research and Customs Investigation Affairs, affirmed on Friday the work to intensify efforts to ensure a smooth and safe operational launch that supports the movement of travel and trade through Kuwait International Airport.

The Customs Department said in a press statement that this came during Al-Omar’s inspection of the passenger terminal (T4) at Kuwait International Airport as part of ongoing preparations to enhance operational readiness and raise the efficiency of work at air ports.

During the tour, Al-Omar stressed, according to the statement, the need for full readiness and intensified efforts to ensure a smooth and safe operational launch that contributes to supporting travel and trade and reflects the level of development in the customs work system in the State of Kuwait, indicating that this visit comes within an integrated plan aimed at enhancing the efficiency of customs work in various ports.

The statement said that the tour included monitoring the readiness of customs sites and ensuring the integration of approved systems and procedures, in addition to reviewing the workflow mechanism and the smooth movement of passengers and goods to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and speed in performance.

Customs officials explained that during the visit, they received a detailed briefing from field officials on operational plans and coordination mechanisms between relevant parties within the airport, emphasizing the importance of adhering to customs procedures and implementing best international practices in inspection and monitoring.
