Kuwait Club, PKR Svay Rieng FC of Cambodia vie for Asian Challenge Cup glory
The Director of the Public Relations and Media Department and official spokesperson for the Kuwait Municipality announced the completion of final preparations in coordination with the Public Authority for Sports, the Kuwait Football Association, the Ministry of Interior, and other relevant entities to host the Asian Challenge Cup match.
The final will see Kuwait Club face Cambodia’s Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC on Wednesday evening, May 13, at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.
A municipal official confirmed that field teams from the Farwaniya Governorate Cleaning Department have completed all cleaning operations and road occupancy arrangements in the external parking areas surrounding the stadium.
The operation involved 100 sanitation workers, nine vehicles, and the distribution of 40 waste containers to ensure full readiness of the venue and its surroundings.
He added that preparations also included the decoration of the stadium’s main gates and external flagpoles with the flags of the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Cambodia, reflecting the international nature of the sporting event and Kuwait’s readiness to host major regional competitions.
