Egyptian football star Salah to depart Liverpool FC end of 2025-26 season

Mohamed Salah is set to bring his remarkable journey with Liverpool FC to a close at the end of the 2025–26 season, following a mutual agreement that will mark the conclusion of an extraordinary nine-year spell at Anfield.

The forward chose to share the news early out of respect for the club’s supporters, ensuring transparency about his future and expressing his deep appreciation for their continued support.

Since arriving from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has cemented his status as one of Liverpool’s all-time greats. During his time with the club, he has played a pivotal role in securing major honors, including two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, two League Cups, and the FA Community Shield.

With an outstanding record of 255 goals in 435 appearances, Salah currently ranks third on Liverpool’s all-time scoring list. His individual brilliance has also been recognized with four Premier League Golden Boot awards, alongside numerous other accolades.

Despite the announcement, Salah remains fully focused on finishing the current season strongly with Liverpool. Celebrations of his legacy and achievements are expected later in the year, when he officially bids farewell to Anfield.
