Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated Sunday that diplomacy never ends saying the consultations with Pakistan and countries will continue.
He said that both sides reached understandings on some issues but differed on key matters, preventing a final deal.
Baghaei said discussions covered Iran’s ten proposals and US points, noting the round lasted about 24 hours, the longest over the past year.
He added the talks followed 40 days of war and a ceasefire, amid mistrust, making a single meeting agreement unlikely.
He cited complexities and new issues, including the Strait of Hormuz and regional conditions, as factors complicating negotiations.
