An inspiring exhibition showcasing the creativity and gratitude of Kuwait’s young generation opened on Tuesday June 2 at the Contemporary Art Platform (CAP) in Shuwaikh under the theme “From Our Children’s Hearts… to the Heroes of the Nation.”

In an emotional tribute celebrating the nation’s frontline heroes, the exhibition titled “From Our Children’s Hearts… to the Heroes of the Nation” officially opened on Tuesday evening at the Contemporary Art Platform, bringing together diplomats, members of the media, artists, educators, families, and members of the community.
The event brought together diplomats, educators, artists, media representatives, families, and members of the public in a heartfelt celebration of the nation’s frontline heroes.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by H.E. Kenichiro Mukai, Ambassador of Japan, in the presence of H.E. Christian Dooms, Ambassador of Belgium, H.E. Lena Mariana, Ambassador of Indonesia, diplomats, educators, artists, parents, media and members of the public.

The exhibition featured paintings, drawings, and handwritten messages created by students from schools across Kuwait as part of the #HeroesOfTheNation initiative. Through their artwork, children expressed appreciation, admiration, and support for the frontline workers and individuals whose dedication continues to strengthen and serve the nation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ofelia Vardanyan, CAP Manager, highlighted the importance of providing young people with a platform to express their feelings through art while fostering values of unity, gratitude, and national pride.
H. E. Kenichiro Mukai, Ambassador of Japan, in his remarks at the opening ceremony highlighted the symbolic importance of the Al-Arfaj flower — Kuwait’s national flower and a growing symbol of resilience, solidarity, and national unity.
The Japanese Embassy had earlier recreated the Al-Arfaj flower using the traditional Japanese art of origami as a gesture of support and solidarity with Kuwait.
Visitors were deeply moved by the sincerity and optimism reflected in the children’s creations. Many of the artworks conveyed messages of hope, courage, unity, and patriotism, demonstrating how art can serve as a powerful medium for social connection and national appreciation.
Hosted at CAP, a leading cultural institution dedicated to promoting art and creativity in Kuwait, the exhibition highlights the important role of artistic expression in strengthening community engagement and encouraging meaningful dialogue across generations.
The exhibition stands as a touching tribute to Kuwait’s frontline heroes while celebrating the voices and creativity of the country’s youth, whose messages of gratitude continue to inspire the wider community.
