AMAN, MCI act to prevent supply disruptions and market instability

The task force overseeing the establishment of Kuwait’s national crisis and disaster management center, “AMAN,” held a coordination meeting with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to discuss mechanisms for information exchange and institutional preparedness as part of efforts to build an integrated national system for crisis and disaster management.

In a statement, the task force said the meeting focused on operational management during crises and the procedures required to ensure market stability and the continued availability of essential commodities. Discussions also addressed frameworks for coordination and integration with relevant government entities to strengthen the speed of response to emergencies and limit their potential impact.

The Ministry of Commerce reviewed its preparedness framework, including approved emergency plans and procedures designed to address various exceptional situations.
The discussions were held within the broader framework of supporting national efforts aimed at enhancing response efficiency and ensuring the continuity of vital services during crises and emergencies.
