Zumba groups’ charity event hailed a huge success

The Gym Team and Z Pavanoo Zumba groups collaborated in an event on Friday morning at Qadsia Gym in Hawally to raise and gather blankets for the women in the Philippine Shelter. Ten highly competitive and certified Zumba trainers took the stage to showcase their music and dance numbers to a huge turnout of participants. The charity event kicked off with an opening remarks and introduction of presenters on stage by Gym Team Director of Fitness Ricky Laxa followed immediately by a warm-up led by Laxa. Among other presenters included; Mark Louie Tepace of Oxygen Gym, Khyler of Z Pavanoo group, Sarah Dacara of Z Pavanoo, Tessy Cabrera from Peru, Alexander Romero of Viking Club, Helen Rahi of Marina Hotel, Blanche Bravo of Holiday Inn, Janice Capili of Pilates and More, Mynnah Dy of Champions and Sofie Omar of Boxhill College. 

A huge Latin group also arrived to show their support to the advocacy. Registration commenced at 8:30 am and workout was at 9 am till 10:30 am followed by a lunch joined by all instructors and some participants of the Zumba class. 

Al Mulla Exchange Company was also present during the event to give out wallets and calendars to participants and promote its latest additional services. Welfare Officer of Philippine Overseas Labor Office Nestor Burayag received the blankets and thanked The Gym Team and Z Pavanoo for their efforts for the benefit of the women in shelter. The Gym team group will be joining the Z Pavanoo group for the whole month till the beginning of January 2017. 

“I thank The Gym Team and Z Pavanoo for their continued collaboration on some of the projects and I express my gratitude to everyone who came and donated blankets for the women in the shelter,” stated Ida Pellaud, Mentor of The Gym Team Group. The Gym team group will be joining the Z Pavanoo group for the whole month till the beginning of January of 2017.
