Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, recently organized an awareness event at 360 Mall as part of its annual breast cancer awareness campaign, which aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer through promoting the importance of early detection.
Zain took the opportunity to gather its partners from various leading medical institutions in its pink corner at Mall 360, which saw the attendance of Kuwait Cancer Control Center’s Director Dr. Ahmad Al Awadhi and Head of the Breast Imaging Unit at Al Sabah Hospital Dr. Noor Al Huda Karmani, who answered visitors’ questions and informed the crowd on the importance of early detection.
Waleed Al Khashti, Zain Kuwait’s Corporate Communications and Relations Director said: “Zain’s solid Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability strategies primarily focus on the wellbeing of the entire nation. For that reason, we maintained our support to all kinds of initiatives that spread awareness and help make a difference.”
Al Khashti added: “this year’s breast cancer awareness campaign consisted of several strategic phases, including the distribution of awareness messages through the media and the highly acclaimed TVC that received overwhelming feedback on social media channels, in addition to the recently held interactive event at Mall 360.”
“During this year’s campaign, Zain further strengthened its partnership with Breast Care Kuwait for the eighth consecutive year. In addition, we undertook many new strategic partnerships with leading healthcare providers including Fatima Clinic, Al Sidra Association for Psychological Care of Cancer Patients, and the Ministry of Health’s Kuwait Cancer Control Center. These partnerships enriched our efforts to inform the public through the existing expertise of such leading medical organizations,” Al Khashti concluded.
