Young Filipino artist sings to raise cancer awareness
September 24, 2018, 11:27 am

Peter Daniel Carvajal, a 15-year-old Filipino artist will launch his debut songs in Kuwait on the 26 October at The Marine Museum of The Radisson Blu Hotel.

Proceeds of the event will be donated to the Kabayan Cancer Group Society, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to Filipinos in Kuwait stricken with cancer. Carvajal will be performing with some invited guests and will showcase two original compositions.

In a recent interview with The Times, Carvajal said that he is looking forward to the event as he would be helping to raise fund for the organization’s noble mission even though he is not able to raise awareness of cancer among Filipinos.

Carvajal is currently on home school program and lives with this brother and parents. He has been singing and performing in public since he was eight years old. “I remember singing my first song in public, the Bon Jovi single, ‘It’s My Life’.

It was then that I realized this is one activity in my life I would like to pursue”. Carvajal said that the type of songs he loves to sing depends on his moods such as when feeling nostalgic he prefers standard songs and when joyful he belts out Rock, Classic, Acoustic Pop and, R and B.

An ordinary day for Carvajal is all about singing with his guitar, workout in the gym and video games. “I would someday like to study music at the Juliard in New York, develop my skills and talents further, compose my own songs and become a recording artist. It would also be fulfilling if I can open my own business too,” ended Carvajal.
