November 4, 2018, 4:52 pm

Peter Daniel Carvajal, a fifteen-year old Filipino artist launched his debut songs in Kuwait on the 26 October at Boubyan Hall of the Radisson Blu Hotel. Over a hundred attendees showed up to the private function and give their support to the cause. Proceeds of the event were donated to the Kabayan Cancer Support Group, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to Filipinos in Kuwait stricken with cancer. Carvajal has performed with invited guests and has showcased two original songs composed by himself and his father, Jummel Carvajal, a noted classical artist in Kuwait.

The event commenced with a welcome remarks delivered by the founder and President of the Kabayan Cancer Support Group Society Bernadette Sotello, who gave a brief background of the group. Opening artists include young and talented singers Angel Atienza and Krizzy Torres, who rendered contemporary and inspiring songs. A duet number was also shared by Peter Daniel and foreign artist Esther Akinniyi. Eight songs were lined up on the repertoire that included an anchor number. The show raised a substantial amount in support of the group’s mission. Aside from generous donors, Western Union has pledged assistance to the cause and in addition, a recruitment agency JVR Placement Agency has taken active participation through donations. The collected amount was donated on stage to the organization during the event.

“I thank everyone who not only came to watch me and my guests sing, but provide generous support to the project and not to mention the time, effort and resources of the band who backed me up during the show. I hope I can have another show in the future and still raise awareness about cancer and other organizations with similar causes so I can in my own way lend my support,” commented Peter Daniel.
