The Writers’ Forum, Kuwait held an interesting discussion on poetry and short stories by its members on 4 March at the residence of Humera Roshi. The meeting was presided over by the poetry lover and member of the forum Aftab Alam while a new member Biswa Ranjan , an Oriya writer, was the Chief Guest of the evening. Tajwer Sultana, the General Secretary of the forum conducted the proceedings.
The story session began with Mr. Roshi reading a true story ‘Bare bones on humanity’ on Madhubani Paintings followed by Dr. Waseem Siddiqi, Vice President of the forum who read out his story ‘Khalish’ in Urdu. Then, members presented their review on stories.
In the second session poetry, writers recited their poems in different languages. The following verbalized their poems in Urdu - Amir Kidwai, Ibrahim Sangeraja, Naseem Zahid, Sabiha Balgrami, Shakeel Jamshedpuri, Kamal Ansari, Tajwer Sultana and a new member, Ameer Uddin. Aamir Diwan recited his poem in Hindi.
Towards the conclusion of the program, Chief Guest Mr. Ranjan narrated his experience about the evening. President of the evening Mr. Alam expressed his view about the creative works presented by the members. Team members extended their thanks to host Ms. Roshi for his hospitality.
