Writers’ Forum held its monthly meeting

Writers’ Forum, Kuwait organized its monthly meeting on 27 November at the residence of Dr. Waseem Siddiqi. The meeting was presided over by the famous columnist and Hindi poet, Dr. (Mrs.) Navniit Gandhi whereas the Malayalam and Hindi poet,  Reshmi Krishna Kumar was the chief guest of the evening. General Secretary of the forum, Tajwer Sultana conducted the proceeding.

The first session of story reading began with a very touching story ‘Deepawali Parcel’ written and read by  Rajesh Verlerkar which was well received and enjoyed by the members. This was followed by the story ‘Lucknow Wale’ by the story writer and the host, Zeba Siddiqi. ‘Lucknow Wale’ was a well written story with a humane act and suspense.

In the second session of poetry recital, poet members read out their poetry in different languages. Those who recited their poems included Tajwer Sultana, Sunil Sonsi, Umesh Sharma, Nazneen Ali (new member), Aamir Kidwai, Shakeel Jamshedpuri, Kamal Ansari and Shabih.

Towards the conclusion of the program, chief guest Mrs. Kumar presented her views about the evening and recited her poem in Malayalam. President of the evening, Dr. (Mrs.) Navniit Gandhi expressed her views about the creative work presented by the members and thanked them for their active participation during the meeting she also recited her poem in Hindi. Members extended thanks to the host Mrs Siddiqi and Dr. Siddiqi for their hospitality.
